The Arabeyes Project is proud to announce the first full release of Akka. Akka is a tool for Arabizing the Linux console, by allowing you to read and write in Arabic under your text console using any application without having to make any changes to that software.

Features:

  • Bidirectional support (intermixing Latin and Arabic)
  • Perl configuration and extensibility
  • Squared Arabic (an excellent way to display Arabic as disconnected characters)
